A new article in the February issue of FDMC profiles the new RFID Cabinet locking from Senseon. According to the article, the RFID drawer and door locks system can achieve greater levels of security, efficiency, and reliability than the traditional lock and key systems.
Senseon’s e-lock stops drawer slides or doors from moving until a sensor detects the presence of a matching RFID card or fob. A side benefit is a simplicity that the RFID lock permits in design, for hardware-free surfaces and no drill-throughs for locking mechanisms. Comprised of several modular components, Senseon makers boast that it requires no electrical or wiring knowledge.
Named a Top Product of 2016 by the editors of FDMC, the Senseon RFID lock is seeing a range of uses arising – medical, for example, as a means to secure pharmaceuticals in healthcare environments.
