Senseon for the win!

“The reduction of mundane hardware is a very elegant solution to an age-old problem and it elevates the purchasing experience.”

We are honored to have been chosen for the 2017 Award of Excellence in the category of Retail Technology Solutions, presented by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). This competition celebrates advancements in innovation, function, and aesthetics within the retail industry. “There are no unattractive locks,” stated competition juror Brian Thornton of Brian G. Thornton Designs. The reduction of mundane hardware is a very elegant solution to an age-old problem and it elevates the purchasing experience.

New Products

With GlobalShop being the largest gathering for the retail community in America, we knew that it’d be the best venue to debut our latest product offerings. People from all sectors of the retail industry stopped by our booth to speak with our sales team and get a demonstration of our newest furniture locking systems. Our own Lisa Summers was a star in one of our live broadcasts:

GlobalShop Buzz

In many ways, retail is retail: retailers in the marijuana industry have general needs like retailers in any industry.

GlobalShop was abuzz this year with a mock-up cannabis dispensary presented by Marijuana Media and High Road Design Studio. We were able to speak with Joel Besner, President of Marijuana Media, who told us about the future of the cannabis retail industry and how Senseon will be key in its development. “In many ways, retail is retail: retailers in the marijuana industry have general needs like retailers in any industry.”

But there are notable exceptions, and security is an area where compliance, state laws, and protection of both the store and the product require different solutions in retailing.

Security products with applications in the pharmacy industry, and retail display/security solutions with applications in the luxury jewelry market, both have a place in marijuana retail.
