The Senseon Secure Access Control System has been named a winner in the Retail Technology Solutions category of this year’s GlobalShop Product Design Competition, says a new article from Surface and Panel. The recognition follows the March 28 launch of an expansion of Senseon, a keyless, cabinet-level, electronic locking system that helps high-end retailers improve loss prevention and enhance the customer experience.

This annual competition, sponsored by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), recognizes product design advancements in innovation, function, and aesthetics for the retail industry at GlobalShop 2017.

“This year’s winners exemplified cutting-edge product design innovation with an eye toward form and function,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP. “Product design is key to elevating retail environments and creating memorable customer experiences.”

Senseon, introduced by Accuride International in September 2016, won in the Retail Technology Solutions category. It uses radio-frequency identification (RFID) and patented locking technology to transform how commercial establishments safeguard and manage access to contents in cabinets, improving security and risk management procedures.
